The body produces two types of gonadotropins: follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).  After they are produced by the pituitary gland, gonadotropins trigger production of other sex hormones. Gonadotropins therefore play a part in egg and sperm production, as well as female and male physical traits such as voice, muscle, hair, and breast development.

Human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) and recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) are gonadotropin fertility drugs.

• hMG contains natural FSH and LH, purified from urine from postmenopausal women. (After menopause, women produce high levels of gonadotropins, which are excreted in their urine.)
• rFSH is genetically synthesized in the laboratory.

Human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) is similar to LH. It contains equal amounts of LH and FSH. These hormones play a central role in egg production.

What is Bravelle™?

What is Gonal-F®?

Gonal-F® is a follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), one of the hormones that stimulates the ovary to make mature eggs. Gonal-F® is used to stimulate the development of multiple follicles in women undergoing assisted reproductive technology treatments(ART).

The Gonal–f® RFF Pen is for women seeking pregnancy and is used to help ovaries make more eggs. It is used in Ovulation Induction (OI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF), to supplement a woman's naturally occurring follicle stimulating hormone (FSH).

What is Luveris®?

Luveris® is a hormone used to support Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) therapy. It is used with follitropin alfa (Gonal-F) to stimulate a follicle(egg) to develop and mature. The therapy used when a woman desires pregnancy and her ovaries can produce a follicle but hormonal stimulation is not sufficient to make the follicle mature.

What is Menopur®?
As part of an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) program, MENOPUR® is administered by subcutaneous (SC) injection only and is used to induce the development of multiple eggs and pregnancy in women who are able to produce and release eggs (ovulate).

What is Repronex®?
Repronex® is a medication known as a menotropin, or human menopausal gonadotropin. It may be used in combination with other fertility hormones, such as human chorionic gonadotropin, to induce, or stimulate ovulation in women with certain types of ovarian failure or in women undergoing an assisted reproductive technology (ART). May also be used to treat hypogonadism caused by a pituitary gland deficiency in a man.
